I scouted this remote, untagged location for months. We woke up at 4 AM for sunrise, and drove unmaintained dirt roads in the general direction of the pin.
As we approached, we saw another car parked. Slightly annoyed we weren’t the only ones who knew about this spot, we got out of our car and saw this guy dressed as an astronaut, which made this photo 100x better than it would've been without him.
Sometimes photography is about planning, but oftentimes it’s being in the right place at the right time — and a bit of luck.
